as if chased by the fire of the burning sun itself, the pod of rock spiders scampered forth from their earthen chasm, a blur of tiny legs, their sound but a whisper… the sun was setting as the "pod of rock spiders"
multiplied in creation. above the blades of grass and shadows, stones
balanced on sticks of two, three, and four, moving forward in the
dwindling rays of the sun. simplicity in nature, a story in the
breadth of imagination. landcreative is the showcase of land art
with a story, the organization of various natural elements in a
minimalistic way. whether through the utilization of stones and
brush, or the sculpting of sand with water, whether geometric or
imaginative, in the end, land art tells a story.
in the fresh air of the outdoors, by the sea or in higher elevations,
daniel nordaas, noah klocek, and friends, head out with an idea
or a playful experiment and create. the natural elements in the
immediate local dictate the type of creation, whether sand by a
beach, stone in the hills, or brush in the plains. using our hands,
we start experimenting with an idea, a theme, or a story, and bit
by bit, under the open sky, a creative formation takes place. this
is landcreative.
experiments in land art can be found on the landcreative
blog.
thematics in land art can be found at land+collective, a thematic
